Oak Forest Gas Station Armed Robbery ‘Similar’ To Another in Area: Chief
Police Chief says case has similarities to another armed robbery in the area that occurred just three hours later.

OAK FOREST, IL - Oak Forest police say they have a "person of interest" in connection to the armed robbery reported early Tuesday morning at the Circle K gas station at 159th Street and Oak Park Avenue but no charges have been made as of Thursday morning.
No arrests have been made, but Police Chief Tim Kristin said the department is “working the case with similarities” to the gas station robbery that occurred just three hours later at a Speedway gas station in Homer Glen.
“Detectives are still investigating, but we are working the case with similar things going on,” Kristin said.

Kristin said on Wednesday that an armed robbery was reported at the Circle K that operates at the Shell gas station at the corner of 159th and Oak Park around 2 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, March 14. The armed robbery in Homer Glen occurred just after 5 a.m.
