Oak Forest HS FCCLA Students Take Awards at Regional Competition

Oak Forest High School Seniors Alyvia Dennis and Jessica Andriola both took home awards in the FCCLA Regional Competition held January 31 at Kankakee Community College. Jessica won a 1st Place Most Outstanding medal for her Fashion Apparel Display. Alyvia competed in the frosted cookie decoration event and earned 2nd Place in her event for her decorations. Both of these girls will be heading to the State competition in April. OFHS FCCLA Adviser Kristina Blair said, “The two students competed and did an awesome job!” She was also grateful for the assistance of Cole Silha and Kirmi Patel, who helped their classmates on competition day. OFHS Librarian Eileen Niedoborski also attended the competition as a judge in the children’s literature category.
