Oak Forest HS Scholastic Bowl Teams Place 2nd at SSC Division Meet

The Oak Forest High School Varsity Scholastic Bowl Team members Grace Young, Maddy Draper, Taylor Valuch, Josie Horan, Matthew Donley, Eric Schultz, Nathan McGovern, Chris Jackowiak, Chris Kyle, Nick Kyle, Tessa Damien, and Jonathan Sullivan-Wood pose with their newly acquired trophy, earned through hard competition at the SSC Blue Division Meet. The Varsity and JV teams placed 2nd in the South Suburban Conference Blue division. The teams’ coaches, teachers Steve Hogan and Travis Couture, were very pleased with both the varsity and the junior varsity team’s success. A stand out performance came from Sophomore Josh Bruno from the JV Scholastic Bowl Team who placed All-Conference for the JV level with the top 10 amount of toss ups answered. Senior Nathan McGovern said, “We played hard and had a lot of fun. We are looking forward to competing at the Regional level soon.”
