Subway In Oak Forest Robbed

An armed robber left a partially eaten piece of food at the scene of the crime, police have said.

OAK FOREST, IL -- An armed man made off with about $80 from the Subway restaurant on 159th Street in Oak Forest on Sunday after ordering food, paying for it and eating a part of a sandwich. Police in the south suburb are searching for a man with a medium build and a tattoo that's wanted in connection with the incident, according to a report from the Daily Southtown.

The man approached an employee at the restaurant at 3:15 p.m. and asked for a manager, the report states. After he was told the manager was not worker, the man bought food and sat in a booth. A few minutes later, employees said he told one worker to "give me everything you got or I will kill you them myself."

Although he left with $80, the man left behind a piece of food with a bite missing that has since been seized as evidence.
