Teens Followed Home After Refusing to Race Man: Cops
Midlothian police had to use a Taser on a combative man accused of throwing beer bottles at the other car.

MIDLOTHIAN, IL - Police in Midlothian said a man became irate and followed two teenagers home, throwing beer bottles along the way, when he was denied a request to race at a stop light.
Authorities also had to use a stun gun and force to arrest Javier Garcia, 24, of Melrose Park on Sunday, according to a report from the Daily Southtown.
Two teenagers - a 16-year-old boy who was driving and 17-year-old girl in the passenger’s seat of a car - on Sunday called police to tell them Garcia and a passenger of his began throwing beer bottles at their car and followed them home after they refused to race him. He is also accused of attempting to hit the victim’s car.

Police caught up with Garcia at 143rd and Pulaski in Midlothian, where they arrested him and later charged him with reckless conduct, obstructing justice, resisting a peace officer, criminal damage to property, battery and improper parking on a roadway.
The Daily Southtown report indicates Garcia refused to exit his car and comply with law enforcement commands after he was stopped. In the police car, police said he kicked the squad car door open, ripped the seat cushions and kicked the bars hard enough to bend them.
