Tim Moss Named Oak Forest Deputy Fire Chief

The city promoted a longtime member of the Oak Forest Fire Department to serve as deputy chief.

OAK FOREST, IL -- The city of Oak Forest has a new deputy fire chief. It's Tim Moss, a lifelong resident of Oak Forest, according to an alert from the city. Moss' appointment was made official by the Oak Forest City Council on Tuesday.

“Tim will be a great addition to our leadership team,” Oak Forest Mayor Hank Kuspa said. “His years of experience, involvement in community events, and passion for fire prevention initiatives will be a big asset as we continue to enhance operating procedures within the fire department.”

Moss has been with the Oak Forest Fire Department since 1991, when he was first hired as a firefighter/paramedic. He moved up the ranks within the department and has been a lieutenant since 2009.
