Chicago man arrested at bus stop after robbing woman on Oak Lawn-Chicago Ridge border, cops say.

CHICAGO RIDGE, IL -- A Chicago man was arrested following a brutal armed robbery in which a woman was forced to the ground by her hair and then shot with a stun gun early Monday morning on the Oak Lawn and Chicago Ridge border, prosecutors said..
Anthony Allen, 20, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a felony charge of aggravated armed robbery. More charges may be forthcoming.
According to the charges, around 12:42 a.m. Oct. 17, Allen confronted a woman in the 9800 block of South Ridgeland Avenue. The prosecutor said that Allen grabbed her by the hair and forced her to the ground.

The prosecutor said Allen pointed an air weapon at the woman while demanding her cell phone. Allen allegedly tazed the woman with a stun gun before making off with her phone, wallet and backpack.
Allen fled with scene with another man. Evergreen Park police apprehended both men at a bus stop across the street from the Evergreen Park police station a short time later.

It is not known if the other man has been charged.
The woman positively identified Allen. Police said that Allen made a video taped statement admitting to the robbery.
Oak Lawn police initially handled the call, which happened in Chicago Ridge. The woman was confused about where the incident took place, Div. Chief Randy Palmer, of the Oak Lawn Police Department said.
The assistant public defender told the judge that Allen is a graduate of Wells High School in Chicago, and attends South Suburban Community College.
Judge Felice set bail at $500,000. Allen’s next court appearance is Nov. 15 in Bridgeview.
