According to the charges, Lozano shared a household in Summit with his girlfriend and her young daughter and molested her on two occasions.

The first encounter occurred on Jan. 28. Lozano entered the girl’s bedroom when she was asleep. The girl woke up to find Lozano kissing and touching her in a sexual manner over her clothes, the prosecutor said. He climbed on top of her fully clothed and she could feel his penis. Lozano left her room when he pushed him away, the prosecutor said.

On Feb. 7, Lozano allegedly again went into the girl’s room and got into her bed. He touched her thighs and began kissing her neck.

During the encounter, Lozano told the girl, “I really want you. Don’t tell your mother,” the prosecutor said.

When the mother saw Lozano coming out of her daughter’s bedroom, the girl told her mother what had happened and the Summit police were called, according to the complaint.

Lozano was taken into police custody on Feb. 8.

The assistant public defender told the judge Lozano is a restaurant worker. His family members were in court and they were asking for a low bond.

Lozano has no prior criminal background, the prosecutor said.

Judge Felice set bail at $50,000. He ordered Lozano not to have contact with the girl or children under 18. Lozano is also to wear a GPS tracker if he bonds out.

Lozano is due back in court in Bridgeview on March 8.
