Charges Pending in Oak Lawn Woman's Stabbing Death: Police

The Cook County Medical Examiner ruled the woman's death a homicide, authorities said.

OAK LAWN, IL — A 50-year-old Oak Lawn woman died in surgery after she was stabbed to death in her home Saturday morning.

Grace Sink was pronounced dead at 9:27 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. The woman’s death was ruled a homicide following an autopsy on Sunday. Her death was attributed to “multiple sharp force injuries.”

Investigators remained at a single-family home in the 4600 block of West 106th Place in Oak Lawn throughout the day on Saturday, which was sectioned off with red crime tape.
