Cops Find Glock Hidden in Ice Cube Tray: Prosecutor
A Tinley Park man is accused of firing a Glock 43 at an Alsip bachelor party.

ALSIP, IL — A Tinley Park man is accused of firing a Glock during a party in Alsip and then hiding the gun in the ice cube tray, prosecutors said.
Issa Zayyad, 51, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of reckless discharge of a firearm.
Alsip police responded to a report of shots fired around 11 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 12600 block of South Kroll. Officers arrived to the sound of blaring music and a large group of people on the scene.

The prosecutor said that police observed a shell casing. Another shell casing was found near the refrigerator. Zayyad allegedly made statements admitting to firing the gun. The gun, a 9 mm Glock 43, was found in the ice cube tray inside the refrigerator with the slide all the way back.
Zayyad’s attorney told the judge that there was a bachelor party happening but his client was not at the party.

“Shooting a gun in the city,” Felice said. “It’s very disturbing.”
Zayyad was ordered to surrender his FOID card and any weapons to Tinley Park police. He resides in the 16300 block of Mark Lane in Tinley Park.
He is due back in court Sept. 19 in Bridgeview.
