Crack and Joint Sealing To Start On 111th Street, Expect Delays

OAK LAWN, IL — Crack and joint sealing will start Aug. 2, weather permitting, on 111th Street from Central Avenue to Pulaski Road in Oak Lawn to Chicago. The work will require daily, intermittent lane closures.

The project will consist of routing, cleaning and sealing cracks in the concrete pavement to extend its useful life, along with new pavement marking. The project is expected to be completed in early September. Access to residences and businesses within the work zone will be maintained throughout construction.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers should pay attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, and obey the posted speed limits.
