Prosecutors said the abuse began in 2008 between Doolan and the 13-year-old neighbor boy who looked up to the older man as a “father figure.”

According to the charges, the abuse continued over a five-year period and stopped after the boy turned 18 and went to live with Doolan for a short time.

Prosecutors recounted the alleged sexual acts between Doolan and the boy, which included masturbation and anal sex.

The mother of the boy was unaware of the abuse until her son advised her what happened on May 19, prosecutors said.

Doolan also allegedly admitted to police of having multiple sexual encounters with the boy when he was underage after he was arrested on June 2.

The assistant public defender told Cook County Judge Peter Felice that Doolan currently lives in a mobile home park. When the boy went to live with Doolan after he turned 18, the abuse stopped.

The complaint did not specify which town the abuse occurred in to protect the boy. The assistant public defender told Cook County Judge Peter Felice currently lives in a mobile home park in Bridgeview, and had at one time lived in Worth.

Judge Felice set bail at $750,000 with 10-percent to apply. Should Doolan bond out he is to be on electronic home monitoring and to have no contact with minors under 18. Doolan was also ordered to stay off the Internet.
