Memorial Fund Set Up For Oak Lawn Man Who Died In Bar Shooting

OAK LAWN, IL — The family of a man who died in the shooting at The Crossing Bar and Grill in Worth have started a GoFundMe effort aimed at raising funds for his memorial expenses and his young daughter’s future. Dan Sereiko, 38, grew up in Oak Lawn and graduated from Richards High School.

“Danny was the victim of a tragic homicide,” his family writes. “We are all in complete shock, and it still seems surreal. A man of many nicknames, he was Danny to us. He loved to go on fishing trips with our Dad and have a beer while watching the Blackhawks game.”

Sereiko leaves behind his 7-year-old daughter, Selena. His family is in the process of planning a memorial in his honor. A donation in any amount to the Danny Sereiko Memorial Fund will be appreciated by his grieving family.
