Needle Found Hidden On Gas Pump Handle In Chicago Ridge: Police
When the man went to squeeze the trigger on the gas handle, a needle with a white substance stuck him in the hand, police said.

CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — Motorists are advised to check nozzles at gas pumps before putting gas in their cars after a man found a needle hidden Tuesday evening at a Chicago Ridge gas station.
Police said the man felt something poke his finger when he squeezed the handle on a gas pump at the Shell gas station at 111th Street and Ridgeland Avenue. When he looked at the handle, he saw a needle. There was an unknown white powder in the hollow area behind the needle, and an adhesive substance holding the assembly to the trigger of the gas nozzle, police said.
The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center for an evaluation. Police said the man is so far asymptomatic.
