Oak Lawn Man Follows Clues Left by his Home's Burglar

Thanks to his investigative spirit, law enforcement now have a face and a car to connect to the burglary.

An Oak Lawn man has followed a trail of intriguing clues that may lead to the person who burglarized his home.

Jason Samhan’s amateur investigation began when he tracked text alerts about his stolen credit card to Chicago, according to Fox 32 News. He could tell where his card was being used.

The hunt began.

Samhan got ahold of security videos from a Southside gas station and two convenience stores where the alerts said his stolen card had been used. The videos showed the driver of a Honda Accord using a credit card in these places at the same times Samhan got the alerts, Fox 32 News reported.

Thanks to Samhan’s investigative spirit, law enforcement now have a face and a car to connect to the burglary.
