Oak Lawn Students Perform IHSA-Winning Plays Wed. And Thurs. At Performing Arts Center
OLCHS students will give encore performances of IHSA-winning plays, April 1-2, 'The Women of Lockerbie' and 'I Sing the Body Electric.'

Both the Oak Lawn Community High School contest play and group interpretation ensembles brought home some bling from the IHSA State Speech Finals at Reavis High School in Burbank.
The contest play, “The Women of Lockerbie” finished fifth in state. The drama is inspired by a true story of the Pan Am 103 bombing in 1988, when terrorists blew up the plane. The story recounts the women of Lockerbie’s desire to turn an act of hate into an act of love, by washing the clothes of the deceased victims of the airplane and returning the clothes to their families.
The group interpretive play. “I Sing The Body Electric” finished third in the state.

The group interpretation directors were Matt Capriola, Paul Harris, and Mike Olsson. Emma Mulcahy, Michael Concannon, Emely Rodriguez, and Peyton Marshall earned All-State honors.
