The Shepard High School marching band delivered a tremendous performance at the Prospect High School Knight of Champions contest last weekend.
The Marching Astros took second in Class AA (missing first by .05 points.)
The band also won special awards for Outstanding Visual Performance, General Effect and Percussion.

"It was by far the best performance of the season for the band. We have improved their score over 9 points from the previous contest and over 20 points from the first contest at the beginning of the season. That is amazing progress," said band director Chris Pitlik.
