St. Catherine 'Superheroes' Raise Money For Ronald McDonald House

St. Catherine of Alexandria students raised over $350 for Ronald McDonald House by dressing as superheroes for a $1 donation.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Students of St. Catherine of Alexandria School collected over $350 for the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. The mobile medical clinic delivers affordable care to underserved children in their own neighborhood.

During Catholic Schools Week, students dressed as their favorite superheroes for a $1 donation and collected over $350. The students also collected such items as folders, notebooks, coloring books, crayons, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Students donated their superhero money to the Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Children’s Hospital-Oak Lawn.

“We are proud of our superhero students for donating to such a worthy cause,” said Arlene Baumann, interim principal of St. Catherine’s.
