Teen Charged In Burbank Carjacking
Burbank police still seek three of the four suspects in a Friday morning armed robbery near 87th and Laramie.
BURBANK, IL — An 18-year-old Chicago man faces a felony aggravated vehicular hijacking charge in connection with the armed robbery/carjacking incident reported early Friday morning near 87th and Laramie in Burbank. Elijah Brown appeared in bond court at 26th and California Saturday morning on the charge as Burbank police continue to investigate the incident in which three other suspects remain at large.
A 40-year-old man told police he was returning to his home around 4:30 a.m. when he noticed four people in the area "acting suspiciously." He was struck by one of them in the head with what appeared to be a black semi-auto handgun, police said.
One of the attackers was able to grab the victim's car keys and cell phone before two of them left in the victim's car and the other two fled in a 2-door white Audi that police say is still at-large and most likely is gone from the area.

Police say the victim followed his stolen car in another car he owns, but lost sight of his fleeing car. It was later found crashed into a parked truck near 83rd and Harlem in Bridgeview, police said.
Witnesses told police the two suspects in the victim's car fled eastbound on foot. One was found near 83rd and Sayre with the gun police think was used against the victim.
"We are following up on all leads and hope to have more arrests in the near future," Burbank police said in a news release announcing the charge against Brown.
