Vendors, Crafters, Businesses Showcased Saturday At OLCHS

OAK LAWN, IL — Over 70 crafters, vendors and local businesses will be sharing their services and selling unique handmade gifts at the PTSA Holiday Craft Fair and Business Showcase this Saturday, Oct. 19. The showcase runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Oak Lawn Community High School, 9400 Southwest Highway.

Admission is $2, which will go to the Pilgrim Faith United Church of Christ food pantry serving the Oak Lawn-area community, or bring non-perishable food items.

Also, there are still some spots left for crafters who wish to participate. For more information, email Debra Brandt, debrabrandt04@gmail.com. Don’t respond to scam requests on social media requesting money, but email Debra directly. 100-percent of table fees will benefit the Oak Lawn Community High School PTSA, which gives out three scholarships annually to graduating seniors.

Get a jump on your holiday shopping by picking up some cool and unique gifts, including ornaments, jewelry, holiday decor, crochet plush and dolls, gemstones, crystals, trinkets, dishes, mugs, candles, wood crafts, photography, canvas wall art, wreaths, spices, candy and so much more.

Shoppers will also find their favorite vendors – Norwex, Color Street, Pampered Chef and Scentsy.

Grab lunch from Tone Capone’s Taco Truck parked outside the gym or Smilin’ Clyde’s Hot Dogs (inside). Bring home some sweet treats for later from the OLCHS Music Boosters bake sale.
SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) will be hosting a sucker pull with prizes donated by crafters and vendors.

Joining the PTSA will be the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce, which will be handing out goodie bags to the first 200 shoppers. Or get a flu shot from OSF Healthcare, 5660 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn.
