BREAKING: Attorney General Wants Missing Pekau Audit Documents

BREAKING NEWS: Late Friday afternoon, August 23rd, the Village of Orland Park received notice from the Illinois Attorney General to deliver all related documents regarding the delinquent audits the administration of Mayor Keith Pekau to the Attorney General in seven (7) business days.

Mayor Pekau has offered several excuses as to why audits for 2022 and 2023 were never filed with the state comptroller, the first time in Orland Park's 132 year history the village was delinquent in filing audits of village finances. The Attorney General is apparently done hearing Pekau's non-sensical excuses and has called the bombastic mayor's bluff.

This is not the first incident regarding the missing audits. In a separate action, the Attorney General has ordered the Pekau Administration to turn over all internal communications regarding to the village being caught lying on a previous Freedom of Information Act request regarding communication with the Illinois Comptroller regarding the delinquent audits.
