District 146 Applauds Principals

Kruse and Central principals honored for Principal Appreciation Week.

District 146 is joining other Illinois schools to celebrate Principal Appreciation Week and Principal Appreciation Day. In Illinois, the week of October 21–27 has been declared Principal Appreciation Week, and October 27 is Principal Appreciation Day.

“We are fortunate to have such dedicated and extraordinary principals and assistant principals at all five of our schools,” said Dr. Jeff Stawick, Superintendent. “Although rewarding, being a principal is a demanding job. Our team does an amazing job making sure students are learning at high levels in the best environment possible.”

District 146 principals include: Central Middle School: Principal Randy Fortin, Assistant Principal Brooke Dundas and Assistant Principal Sara Schnoor. Fierke Education Center: Principal Damien Aherne. Fulton School: Principal Ron Gonser and Assistant Principal Megan Mitera. Kruse Education Center: Principal Carey Radke and Assistant Principal Megan Mitera. Memorial School: Principal Kelly Voliva.

The State of Illinois has endorsed the Principal Appreciation recognitions through official proclamations since 1990. District 146 has joined in the celebrations to showcase how important principals are to its learning communities.

Community Consolidated School District 146 is comprised of Central Middle School, Fierke Education Center, Fulton School, Kruse Education Center, and Memorial School. Students from Tinley Park, Orland Park, and Oak Forest attend District 146 schools.
