Flooding Closes Roadways in Orland Park Area: Traffic Alert

Heavy rain has closed several roadways in Orland and throughout the area. UPDATED.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Flooding has caused several road closures in the Orland Park area:

  • Orland Park: 135th Street from La Grange Road to Southwest Highway
  • Orland Park: Will Cook Road from 151st Street to 159th Street
  • Orland Park: 108th Avenue from 159th Street to 163rd Street

Robbie Ballouta lives in the residential area of Sterling Ridge said his house got hit by flash flooding in the back yard. The lake behind his fence spilled out of its banks on all sides.

“I was working Door Dash all day and came home to find my backyard partially over flowing with water, and the lake level rising above normal.” Ballouta said. “It’s insane what Mother Nature can do.

Stay home if you can. If you must go out, proceed with caution and don’t drive through standing water. Expect closures to continue Monday morning.
