Orland Flower Shop Helps Residents Bloom

While other students sat at cramped tables and ate high school cafeteria food, David Lach surrounded himself with nature. 

He opted out of lunch as a high school student and instead took a horticulture class to fill the time. 

The teacher, whom Lach still talks to today, turned into his mentor and taught him everything there was to know about flowers. The lessons he learned in this class would be the seeds that eventually blossomed into a successful career.

Lach nurtured the teachings and gained hands-on experience while working at floral shops throughout high school. He saw first hand the numerous employment opportunities floral shops had to offer and learned the business from the roots-up while working several positions from delivering to designing.

The experience would come in handy after Lach graduated from college and decided to open a shop of his own. He returned to his roots and was born.

Lach planted his first seeds in Orland Park at 8126 W. 143^rd Street. His unique and artistic designs served as the sunshine while his hands-on demeanor, quality delivery and customer service was the food that has helped his business grow.

Lach recently moved The Enchanted Florist to its new location at 13123 S. LaGrange Road. Residents won’t see a sign above the store for a few days but the new shop is positioned right in the middle of It’s Greek To Me and Flexeon. As of now, a picture of a bride and flowers serves as its identity.

With a different store layout and a new location Lach is taking his award-winning shop to higher grounds.
