Orland Park Dental Practice Offering Free Dentistry This Friday
Family Dental of Orland Park is offering choice of a free filling, cleaning or extraction on Free Dentistry Day on Oct. 12.

CHICAGO, IL -- An Orland Park dental practice be offering free dental care this Friday, Oct. 12, to area residents. Dr. April Kennedy, Dr. Tasha Dhir and their team at Family Dental of Orland Park will be offering patients a choice of one free cleaning, filling or extraction as part of Free Dentistry Day. Patients will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at 11041 179th Street in Orland Park.
Free Dentistry Day is dedicated to providing free dental care to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, approximately 108 million Americans are living without dental insurance.
There is increasing evidence that links oral health to overall health and well-being. The signs and symptoms of over 100 medical conditions, including diabetes, HIV/AIDS, Lou Gehrig's disease and oral cancer may first be detected through traditional oral examinations.

"Dental health is a vital part of a person's overall health," Dr. Dhir said. "Through this event, we hope to educate patients on the importance of dental health and encourage them to adopt an ongoing oral care regimen."
