Top Sandburg Athletes of All-Time: Orland Park Patch Facebook Vote

ORLAND PARK, IL - A couple weeks back we asked fans of Orland Park Patch on Facebook about who they thought was the greatest athlete to ever suit up for Sandburg High School.

The question received several responses, and most of them were serious.

Michael Schofield, an offensive lineman for the Denver Broncos who was part of a Super Bowl winning team a year ago, was the most frequent response. Kendall Coyne, Jane Schofield Caliendo, Tom Toth, Tom Graves and Mike Tortorelli were other former Eagle athletes to receive multiple votes.

Josh Feigl, Zak Kustock and Pat Fitzgerald were among the more notable athletes to have received a single vote.

Some respondents highlighted memorable teams and classes rather than individual athletes.

The entire Class of 1991 was one vote, while another response simply stated the 2010 softball team.

"The dream team," the post read.
