1 Person Hospitalized After Structure Fire On Bluegrass Parkway: OFD

Crews responded to the structure fire around 5:30 a.m. Saturday and were able to promptly locate and extinguish the fire.

OSWEGO, IL — After a fire erupted at a house in the 100 block of Bluegrass Parkway early Saturday morning, one person was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Firefighters from the Oswego Fire Protection District responded to the Oswego house fire at about 5:26 a.m. The first crews arrived in about five minutes and promptly located and extinguished the fire, officials said. Crews reported minimal structural damage to the house, which remains habitable.

No injuries were reported to fire personnel.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. An estimated dollar amount of damage is to be determined, officials said.

Plainfield and Aurora firefighters assisted the OFPD on the scene while Plainfield and Montgomery fire departments provided district coverage.
