Another School Threat Under Investigation In Oswego

An emailed threat was received at Thompson Junior High, police said.

OSWEGO, IL — A day after two students were arrested — one on a weapon charge, the other for disorderly conduct — in unrelated incidents at another Oswego junior high, Oswego police responded to a report of disorderly conduct at Thompson Junior High School, 440 Boulder Hill Pass, at around 11:10 a.m. Thursday after school administration staff received a threat via email.

Police said investigators determined that there was no direct threat to the students or staff. Police continue to investigate the threat in cooperation with District 308, and additional police presence may be seen at the campus, according to an Oswego Police Department press release.

Anyone who may have information about the incident is asked to call the Oswego Police Department at
630-551-7300. Alternatively, anonymous reports can be made to Kendall Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999,
and tips leading to arrests may receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
