Oswego Family YMCA To Close In August
The center will shut its doors on August 15, YMCA announced.

OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Family YMCA will close on August 15, the center announced Wednesday. The membership center is located in the former Traughber Junior High School at the corner of Washington and Franklin. Earlier this month, the SD308 Board of Education decided to sell the building.
In an open letter to members posted on the center's website, Heather Appling, the Oswego Family YMCA's associate executive director, said she was sorry to share the news.
"While we do not want to leave this location, after a thorough review including an assessment of nearby facilities for a potential alternative, we found no suitable option and have made the decision to close the Oswego Family YMCA..." she said in the post.
