Fox River Flooding: River Rises, Parks Flooded After Kendall County Storms
The river remains under a flood warning, with parks and areas in Yorkville, Montgomery and Oswego under water.

MONTGOMERY, IL — A flood warning remains in effect until further notice on the Fox River in Montgomery, and several Kendall County parks were flooded over the weekend. As of 4:45 p.m. Sunday, the river was at 13.92 feet in Montgomery, according to the National Weather Service. The river is at flood stage when it hits 13 feet.
Continued storms compounded flooding issues over the weekend. According to the NWS, Oswego got nearly 5.5 inches of rain over the last three days, compared with 4.94 inches in Yorkville and 3.68 inches in Montgomery.
Hudson Crossing Park in Oswego was blocked off Saturday due to flooding in some areas, and Kendall County Now was reporting flooding at Bicentennial Riverfront Park in Yorkville, where the walking bridge was closed, and Island Park in Montgomery.

A cold front was expected to move into the Chicago area Sunday night, bringing dryer, cooler air, according to the NWS. The forecast calls for partly to mostly sunny weather through Thursday, when storms could roll back into the Kendall County area.
