Serial Harasser Sentenced to 180 Days in Jail
The 57-year-old Oswego man left a message for tollway board chairman Robert Schillerstrom threatening to kill him.

Illinois State Toll Highway Authority Board Chairman Robert Schillerstrom can feel safe again after the Oswego man who has threatened his life and repeatedly harassed him is behind bars.
James P. Conroy, 57, of the 500 block of Chestnut Drive in Oswego, was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 24 months of probation and counseling after he left a phone message for Schillerstrom threatening to kill him, according to the Daily Herald. He was also ordered to stay away from Schillerstrom and his family.
Conroy was originally charged with two felony counts of telephone harassment, but was dropped to just one count as part of a plea deal. Conroy pleaded guilty to the charge in court Tuesday. He received credit for 117 days served.

According to the article, Conroy left a message for Schillerstrom saying that he would kill him when he had the opportunity. Conroy also called the Naperville Police Department and let it know what he was planning to do.
In May 2011, Conroy was ordered to have "no contact of any kind with any member of the Robert Schillerstrom family." Conroy was being sentenced to 180 days in jail for aggravated driving with a revoked license third offense or more. It is unknown why that order was given.

Conroy again contacted Schillerstrom in October 2011, violating a conditional discharge. Conroy was declared unfit to stand trial, but was sentenced Oct. 19, 2012 after that decision was reversed. He was given six months in jail and a year of probation.
