OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Police Department said a 13-year-old male is being charged with disorderly conduct as the result of a two-week investigation into an emailed threat received on Oct. 11 by Thompson Junior High School administration. Police said they were able to identify the male Thompson student from Montgomery with the help of Community School District 308.
The felony charge was approved on Oct. 31 by the Kendall County State's Attorney's Office, police said.
The teen has a pending court date scheduled for Dec. 11, according to police.
Patch reported investigators were able to determine there was no direct threat to the students or staff just hours after the email was received Oct. 11.
