Who Did Kendall County Voters Pick for President?
Kendall strayed from most counties in the Chicago area.

Voters in Kendall County strayed from Hillary Clinton as their choice for president on Tuesday, who won the state but ultimately lost the presidency.
With unofficial results in, nearly 47 percent of the county’s voters, which amounted to 24,152 people, selected President-Elect Donald Trump when they headed to the polls on Tuesday, while over 45 percent -- or 23,392 people-- voted for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. It was a tight race for sure. Out of the rest of the voters, 4.95 percent picked libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and 1.40 percent selected Green party candidate Jill Stein, according to unofficial results posted on the Kendall County Clerk’s Office website. 1.45 percent picked a write-in candidate.
Kendall County strayed from the majority of suburban collar counties who picked Clinton, who grew up in Park Ridge, for president.

An overwhelming number of voters across the state of Illinois picked Clinton on Tuesday -- with 55 percent of total voters in Illinois selecting Clinton over the 39 percent who picked Trump. The win in Illinois gave her 20 electoral votes, but not enough as Trump would go on to win the electoral vote across the nation. He was declared president-elect early Wednesday.
Kane County
- Hillary Clinton: 80,981 votes, which was 47.49 percent of the vote
- Donald Trump: 74,926 votes, which was 43.57 percent of the vote
McHenry County
- Donald Trump: 71,117 votes, which was nearly 50 percent of the total vote
- Hillary Clinton: 59,827 votes, which was 42.04 percent of the vote
Lake County
- Hillary Clinton: 168,186 votes, which was more than 57 percent of the vote
- Donald Trump: 108,608 votes, which was 37 percent of the total vote
Suburban Cook County
- Hillary Clinton: 679,297 votes, which was 65.38 percent of the vote
- Donald Trump: 312,177 votes, which was 30.05 percent of the vote
Will County
- Hillary Clinton: 146,230 votes, which was 49.62 percent of the total vote
- Donald Trump: 129,726, which was 44.02 percent of the total vote
