• Seneca, Newark, Somonauk and Dwight volleyball teams open season with wins : The Times Monday Roundup (shawlocal.com) — Ottawa High School's boys soccer team opened its season at home with a 4-2 win over Princeton, and the girls golf squad placed third in a triangular at Wyaton Hills. The roundup also highlights strong season-opening performances from nearby schools in Seneca, Newark, Somonauk, Dwight and others that Ottawa fans regularly compete against and follow.
