Connor Noonan, 21, apologized to the victim, her family and his parents in court Monday after pleading guilty.

PALATINE, IL — A Palatine man was sentenced to 6 years in prison after admitting to sexually assaulting a toddler who went to his mother's home day care center, according to the Daily Herald.
Connor Noonan, 21, pleaded guilty in connection with abusing the girl when he was around 17 years old, the report stated. Along with serving prison time, Noonan also must be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life, the report added.
Prosecutors accused Noonan of abusing the girl between December 2013 and June 2013 when she was around 2 to 4 years old, the report stated. The girl stopped going to the day care center when she reached kindergarten, but when she was told she would be returning for a day in February of 2016, the victim broke down and told her mother about the sexual abuse, the report added.
