Harassment by Phone

Police charged Mutaz Sadeh, 35, of Hickory Hills, with harassment by phone. Sadeh became involved in the purchase of a restaurant, but an argument ensued over money, reports said. Sadeh allegedly persisted in contacting and threatening the other party over the phone. He was arrested on June 6. Sadeh is due in court July 26 in Bridgeview.

Bad Hair Day

A customer who didn’t like her haircut took it out on the hair stylist, reports said. Palos Hills police responded to a disturbance call around 1 p.m. June 14 at Emanz Hair Salon, 10406 S. Harlem Ave. An employee told police that a customer was not happy with her hairstyle. The customer and stylist began to argue. Other customers joined the argument and the employee ended up getting pushed and hit, police said. The employee did not to press charges against the unhappy customer and other combatants, however, a waiver was signed and the customers are all banned from the business.

Gargoyle Walks

Police are investigating the theft of a concrete gargoyle in the 9000 block of 111th Street. The owner reported the statue missing around 2 p.m. June 14 and believes it was stolen within the past day or two.
