Angry Driver Who Beat Disabled Veteran Now Charged with Felony
A misdemeanor wasn't enough, Palos Hills veteran's wife says, and "justice has been served" as charges are upgraded against Michael Seno.

A 21-year-old Bridgeview man now faces a felony charge of aggravated battery for the beating of a 66-year-old disabled veteran from Palos Hills.
The charge of misdemeanor battery was upgraded Monday for Michael Seno, who is accused of attacking Richard Jones during a confrontation over speeding in a condominium complex parking lot. Jones claims Seno was driving much faster than the 10 mph speed limit. The two argued before the confrontation turned physical, with Jones being punched, kicked and thrown to the grown.
He suffered two broken nasal bones, two black eyes, scraped shins, and bleeding on the brain.

“This was truly a step in the right direction,” Alice Jones told Patch after the hearing. The courtroom was filled with supporters as they awaited word on the charges.
“The support of our family, neighbors and friends was overwhelming,” Jones said.

The attack caused an uproar in the community, with many shocked that a young man would allegedly attack a veteran. In photos taken during the altercation, Seno can be seen looming above Jones, who is splayed on the pavement and attempting to shield his face. A neighbor “had to pry Seno off of him,” Alice said.
Jones, who suffers from PTSD, Parkinson’s Disease and uses a cane to walk, says he lost consciousness briefly as they waited for an ambulance to arrive.
“Look what he did to him,” one neighbor can be heard shouting in the background of a video taken at the scene. “You have no respect.”
“I have respect for myself, not you guys. You have no respect for me!” Seno can be heard shouting in response, as well as making claims that Jones struck him first. Alice maintains her husband “never touched” Seno, and that witnesses would agree.
Seno was taken into custody after the hearing. He was issued a D Bond of $50,000. His next court date is set for Dec. 28 at the Bridgeview courthouse, Room 105.
