St. Alexander 'Lights It Up for Emily'

Students at St. Al's did their part to show a courageous Southland 12-year-old that she is loved.

St. Alexander School in Palos Heights declared Friday, May 1 “Light It Up For Emily Day” by offering prayers, donating money, making posters, wearing and decorating their school in the colors purple and green. Twelve-year-old Emily Beazley of Mt. Greenwood has captured the hearts of Chicagoland with her courageous battle against T-cell Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Purple is Emily’s favorite color and green is the color for awareness of Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. St. Alexander students donated $665 to Emily.
