Two Students Questioned after Reports of BB Gun at Shepard High School
The weapon was not found on school property. The school was in lockdown for three hours.

Two students at Shepard High School were being questioned Monday afternoon, after the school was sent into lockdown due to reports of a weapon on campus or on a bus.
The school, located at 13049 Ridgeland Ave., was locked down for three hours and after-school activities were canceled, as police searched for a weapon. An investigation confirmed that a BB gun had been brought to school that morning and handed off to another student, who then brought it home. District 218 spokesman Bob McParland told the Chicago Tribune that he’s unsure if the gun was ever inside the school.
No charges have been filed yet.
