WORTH, IL — The body of a man found on the Metra tracks early Monday morning has been identified as 30-year-old Timothy J. Klapatauskas, of Worth. The Cook County Medical Examiner gave the cause of death as injuries sustained from being hit by a train.
The crew on a southwest line Metra train passing between the Worth and Palos Heights stations around 7:25 a.m. Monday noticed a body laying on the tracks. Metra officials said the train was not involved in the Worth man’s death. The accident is still being investigated by Metra police, to try to determine which train may have been involved.
