Celebrate the Season with Free Events at The Summit of Uptown

Long known as a center of local activity, The Summit celebrates the holiday season with free events and programs. Stop by anytime.

Come celebrate the season at The Summit of Uptown at free holiday festivities

If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to get into the holiday spirit, mark your calendar for four free programs in December at The Summit of Uptown, 10 N. Summit (at Touhy) in Park Ridge. Reservations are recommended and may be made by calling 847-825-1161, ext 129.

Carols and More will be performed by the Des Plaines Harmonaires on Friday, Dec. 11, at 1:30 p.m. The Historic Christmas Tree Ship, a true story of faith, hope and love will be presented by Rochelle Pennington on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m. The Edgebrook Lutheran Church Handbell Christmas Choir Concert will be led by Judy Nelson on Thursday, Dec. 17, at 1:30 p.m. A Magical Family Christmas, with a visit from Santa Claus, will be presented by Jim Austin on Monday, Dec. 21, at 1:30 p.m.

While you are attending any of these programs or just paying a friendly visit, you will be able to enjoy the Festival of Community Christmas Trees decorated by 26 area schools and organizations and vote for your favorite one when you donate a non-perishable food item for the Maine Township Emergency Food Pantry. Prizes will be awarded to the winning organizations.

These events are just some of examples of the variety of programs and activities open to the community that are planned for the holiday season. Parking is always available in the Uptown City garage across the street.
