Garbage Pickup Pushed Up, Overnight Parking Prohibited In Plainfield
The National Weather Service issued an extreme cold advisory from 12 a.m. Dec. 22 to 8 a.m. Dec. 29.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Thursday's garbage pickup in Plainfield has been altered slightly due to the forecast winter storm, officials announced.
Waste Management will start refuse and recycling collection at 5 a.m. Thursday To ensure garbage gets picked up, Plainfield residents should bring bins to the curb prior to 5 a.m.
In addition to the snow expected to start Thursday afternoon, wind gusts up to 55 mph and dangerously cold temperatures as low as 25 to 30 below zero are likely on Thursday night and Friday, Patch reported.

Blizzard conditions are possible, with an expected accumulation of 2 to 5 inches, according to the National Weather Service. AccuWeather forecasted 4 to 8 inches of snow for Chicago.
As a result, Plainfield police reminded residents that overnight parking on village streets will not be permitted from Thursday night through Saturday night.
