Illinois New Year's Babies: Little Ones Arrive Early In 2018

Meet the newest residents of the Land of Lincoln.

New Year's is a time to take stock of the year that was and welcome what's to come in the year ahead. For some Illinois parents, it was also time to welcome the newest additions to their families. Illinois hospitals reported their first arrivals of the new year on Jan. 1.

These are the little ones who made an early entrance in 2018:

Chicago Heights

Baby Joseph Alberto Guzman was the first baby born at Franciscan Health Chicago Heights just four minutes after midnight, weighing in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces and 18.5 inches long. He is the son of Krisna Guzman-Avila of Sauk Village.

Baby Janae Lenor Davis made her grand debut at 12:08 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center. She was welcomed by proud parents Dana Brown and Jeremy Davis, and big sister Jayda, 6, of Oak Lawn.

Naperville

Baby Evan William La Due — 6 pounds, 12 ounces and 19 inches long — arrived to mom and dad Jessi and Cody La Due at 12:11 a.m. at Edward Hospital in Naperville. He is the Aurora couple's first child.

Park Ridge

Baby Aryansh, 6 pounds, 15 ounces and 18.5 inches long, entered the world at 12:32 a.m. at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. He is the son of mom Anusha Ankathi and dad Rakesh Kotla.

Elmhurst

Liam Adam Shevstova, weighing in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces and 20-and-a-half inches long, arrived at 12:37 a.m. at Elmhurst Hospital. He is the son of Anna Shevstova and Serghei Adam of Streamwood.

Highland Park

Vincent Manuel Regalado-Perez, at 6 pounds, 7 ounces, was born to Aliza Regalado and Jose Perez of Waukegan, at 12:50 a.m. at NorthShore Highland Park Hospital.

Lake Forest

Allison Kimberly Beltran Zarate, at 6 pounds, 11 ounces, was welcomed by Francisca Nayeli Zarate Gonzalez and Francisco Beltran of Waukegan at 3:37 a.m. at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital.

Evanston

A 7-pound, 3-ounce baby boy, yet to be named as of late New Year's Day, arrived at 4:03 a.m. to Hanni and Andrew Moses at Evanston Hospital.
