New Plainfield Village, School Board Members Sworn In Monday

Vote totals have been tallied and new officials will take office.

PLAINFIELD, IL -- Winners in the April 4 consolidated election will be sworn in Monday at the Plainfield Village Board meeting and District 202 Board of Education special meeting.

At Village Hall, incumbent Village President Michael Collins and trustee Margie Bonuchi will be sworn in for another term. Joining them are newly elected trustees Larry Newton, who gave up his longtime post as a Plainfield Park District commissioner to take on his new role, and realtor Cally Larson.

The board will also recognize Tom Ruane for his brief stint as a trustee. Ruane was appointed in February to finish former trustee Jim Racich's term after he resigned and opted not to seek re-election.

The village board meeting is at 7 p.m. at Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport St. Also on the agenda:

  • A proposal to renew the contract of Village Administrator Brian Murphy through 2021
  • The site plan for a Dunkin Donuts slated for Heritage Meadows Village Center, 11918 S. Route 59
  • A more than $23,000 enterprise agreement with Microsoft via CDW-G for Office 365, online archiving and Microsoft Office Pro Plus subscriptions

At the District 202 meeting, incumbents David Koch and Rod Westfall will be sworn in on the board alongside new members Michael Robey and Robert smith. Members will also vote to elect board officers.

The District meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Administration Center, 15732 Howard St.
