Obituary: Carol Jean Banaszak

Carol Jean Banaszak (nee Scrabec)

Age 80, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 3, 2023, at Morris Hospital. Carol was born and raised in Joliet, the daughter of the late Edward and Amelia (nee Taveggia) Scrabec. She was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of St. Francis Academy (JCA). Carol was formerly employed by Crawford Bus Service as a driver and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale.

She is survived by her two daughters, Shawn Marie Sievert (Jack) Flynn and Debra A. (Jeff) Webb, both of Joliet.

As it was Carol's request, cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery privately by the family.
