Plainfield Percussionists To Perform At Free Concert

Members of the world-class drum group will perform at a free show at Joliet Catholic Academy.

JOLIET, IL -- A world-class marching percussion ensemble will make an appearance during a free show Saturday in Joliet. Featuring several Plainfield School District alumni, the award-winning Cavaliers Indoor Percussion group will perform during a free "friends and family" event from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Joliet Catholic Academy, 1200 N. Larkin.

The event is a sendoff for several Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps percussion groups before they head to the Winter Guard International championships April 20-23 in Dayton, Ohio.

At last year's WGI championships, the Cavaliers Indoor Percussion group 8th place overall and was the overall fan favorite.

The group includes Plainfield Central graduates Anthony Cable and Chuck Willard and Plainfield North alums Kyle Burkart and Anthony Hish. Doors open at 6 p.m. and performers include:

  • 7 p.m. Crystal Lake Thunder
  • 7:20 p.m. Chromium Winds
  • 7:45 p.m. Cavaliers Indoor Percussion
