Plainfield to Kick Off 2015 Movie Series

'Big Hero 6' will be screened at 8:30 p.m. June 12.

Calling all movie lovers! The 2015 Movie Series kicks off at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12. The Village of Plainfield and Plainfield Park District will be showing “Big Hero 6,” sponsored by First Community Bank, in Settlers’ Park at the Richard A. Rock Amphitheater. “Big Hero 6,” an animated movie featuring the voices of Ryan Potter and Scott Adsit, is rated PG with a run time of 102 minutes.

Be sure to head to Settlers’ Park early, the Plainfield Park District is organizing Family Recess, games and activities, at 7:30 p.m. The Plainfield Library, Police Department, and Fire Protection District will also be at the movies!

Settlers’ Park is located in Downtown Plainfield, southeast of the intersection of Lockport Street and Van Dyke Road and just south of the Village Hall. Parking is available in the Village Hall Parking Lot, on Village Center Drive and on Van Dyke Road.

Terraced seating is available. Attendees are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will be available for sale and the proceeds will benefit the movies in the park. The Kona Ice Truck will also be back this summer!
