Plainfield Library Offers Freegal Music Training Session June 12, July 18

Plainfield Library cardholders are invited to "Download to the Rhythm" on June 12 or July 18.

Plainfield Library cardholders are invited to “Download to the Rhythm” at one of two drop-in sessions where they can learn to use Freegal, a free streaming and downloadable music service, available only to library cardholders. Sessions will be offered Friday, June 12 at 2 p.m. and again on Saturday, July 18 at 10 a.m. in the library’s small meeting room. The library is located at 15025 S. Illinois St.

No registration is necessary, however participants must have a valid Plainfield Library card to access the subscription service from the library’s website.

Freegal allows users to stream music for free and download up to five songs a week to keep. The music service has more than 9 million songs in its database, including tunes from Sony Music’s legendary catalog, in addition to works from 28,000 other labels from more than 100 different countries. It also offers 15,000 music videos.
