Plainfield Man Injured in Moped Accident Dies After 2 Weeks in Hospital

A young man from Plainfield injured in a moped accident two weeks ago died at a Joliet hospital.

Sean McGrail, 20, was pronounced deceased Thursday evening at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.

McGrail was injured May 1 when he crashed a moped into a vehicle parked on Arbor Gate Drive in Joliet. McGrail’s family said he suffered a severe brain injury and was in a medically-induced coma.
