Subaru Ambassadors "Fill-a-Forester" for Toys for Tots

Subaru Ambassadors, Hawk Subaru, and members of Subies of the Corn hosted the 3rd Annual "Fill-A-Forester" Toy Drive, benefiting Toys for Tots. Toys were collected on December 11, 2021, between 11am and 3pm, at Hawk Subaru, located at 2401 Illinois Rte 59, Plainfield, IL 60586.

In total, over 250 toys were collected and everyone that donated received a Subaru pullover shirt, courtesy of Hawk Subaru. In keeping with the Subaru Loves the Earth promise, each pullover was made with at least 8 recycled water bottles.
Subies of the Corn Co-Founder and Subaru Ambassador, Christine Hill, stated "This is one of my favorite events of the year and we are so excited to collect toys to donate to Toys for Tots. Hawk Subaru has been so supportive of the event and we are overwhelmed by the generosity of Subaru owners."

On Sunday, December 12, 2021, Subies of the Corn members met back up at Hawk Subaru and completed a one-hour cruise to River Hawk Brewing in Channahon to deliver the toys collected at the Fill-a-Forester event. River Hawk was hosting their annual Toys for Tots toy drive and the Marines Corps was onsite to receive the Fill-a-Forester toys.

Subaru Ambassador Eddie Groberski stated, "The partnership between River Hawk Brewing and Subies of the Corn is perfect, since they arrange for the Marine Corps to be onsite for their event and we are able to load the toys directly onto the Marine Corps vehicles to be distributed."

Subaru is currently running their Share the Love event until January 3, 2022. For every routine Subaru vehicle service visit during the Subaru Share the Love Event, Hawk Subaru will donate $5 to their Hometown Charities. If you purchase or lease a new Subaru, Subaru will donate $250 to your choice of charities (ASPCA, Make-a-Wish, Meals on Wheels, National Park Foundation). Hawk Subaru will also donate an additional $50 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Will and Grundy Counties here in our community for each sold or leased vehicle.
